The WICA came into existence in 1953 as a compact association of cinematographers to provide cinematographers with a common platform, where they could discuss their problems, exchanges views and generally be of help to each other. The Course Director Mr. A.S. Kanal is a senior practicing Cinematographer having shot a number of Feature Films, Commercials, TV Serials and Non Fiction Films. He is also an ex-professor from the Film & TV Institute of India, Pune and the director of a renowned Film and Media Studies Institute based in Pune having a teaching experience of over 25 years.
